As we come to the end of the fourth month of the Juvenile Mummy Project, the team are busy examining radiographs and producing materials for outreach activities. While not produced as part of the current project, Kirsty and Dario have published an article in Public Archaeology which focuses on the ethics of displaying and analysing juvenile mummies from the Capuchin Catacombs. The article stemmed from a presentation delivered as part of the BioanthTalks conference in 2021 (see "Resources" section of this website for a link to the presentation recording) and further explores the ethical challenges faced by researchers working in this area and the public's attitudes to the display and analysis of juvenile mummies.
